Technical Airport Advisory Committee (TAAC)

On Tuesday, March 20, 2014, the Port of Bellingham Board of Commission amended the Bellingham International Airport Advisory Committee (BIAAC) Resolution 1329A (PDF).

The Bellingham International Airport has grown dramatically in size, complexity and economic values in the past decade. With over 1.2 million commercial passengers, 4 commercial airlines, a diverse general aviation community, a growing network of aviation-related businesses, and a growing community, the Port of Bellingham Commission has established 2 distinct advisory committees for input about its' airport; an advisory committee to address technical aviation-related topics and an advisory committee to address airport topics related to the community.

The TAAC will serve as a technical advisory committee to the Director of Aviation and to the Port Commission about the technical aspects of airport operations, planning and development. This committee will provide technical expertise on specific topics as requested by the Director of Aviation and/or the Port Commission. TAAC members will be asked to draw upon their aviation knowledge and experience. Members of the TAAC will have aviation-related technical knowledge and experience and will represent a diversity of aviation professions, skills and interests found in Bellingham International Airport’s commercial, corporate and general aviation operational areas.
