Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS)

The FAA is taking an incremental approach to safe unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) integration into US airspace. UAS come in a variety of shapes and sizes and serve diverse purposes. Regardless of size, the responsibility to fly safely applies equally to manned and unmanned aircraft operations.   • Part 101 operators must contact Bellingham Tower at 360-734-2745 when operating within 5 statute miles of Bellingham International Airport.
  • Part 107 operators must make requests for authorization to operate UAS at www.faa.gov/uas/
