(Bellingham, Wash.) – Low-cost airline, Allegiant Air, LLC, announces it will expand its service to 10 flights weekly to Las Vegas, Nev. from Bellingham, Wash. beginning Feb. 1, 2007.
“We are very pleased with the continued performance of the Bellingham market,” said Maurice J. Gallagher, the airline’s president and CEO. “This expansion in service will help more Whatcom county and British Columbia customers get to the fun and excitement of Las Vegas. We are confident this schedule will have great appeal.”
Beginning Feb. 1, 2007, Allegiant Air will add Monday and Friday flights for a total of 10 flights weekly, with twice-a-day flights Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday and once-a-day flights Wednesday and Saturday. This is the third addition of nonstop flights to Las Vegas this year. Allegiant began the nonstop service from Bellingham International Airport to McCarran International Airport (Las Vegas) Aug. 5, 2004.
"Allegiant's additional flights to Las Vegas will add more travel opportunities for our community and will further strengthen our partnership with Allegiant Air," said Port of Bellingham Commission President Jim Jorgensen. "People regularly tell the Port how much they enjoy traveling with Allegiant and we celebrate their success."
