A big thank you to everyone that came out and participated, in the family-fun events that were held every Saturday, from 10-11 am throughout the summer. The Portal Container Village (298 W Laurel Street) is located on Bellingham’s downtown waterfront. The Wake and Shake Summer Series featured different weekly performances to get kids moving including hula hoops, music and dancing, animals, yoga, story time and more.
Wake and Shake performances take place on the Peter Paulson stage, with the backdrop of the six digester tanks salvaged from the former Georgia-Pacific site. The stage is located on a large grass lawn and clad with red bricks from the former Pulp and Paper mill to celebrate the industrial history of the waterfront.
If you are interested in participating next summer, or for more information about the Wake & Shake Summer Series, contact Carey Hansen by email at careyh@portofbellingham.com or by phone at (360) 393-5449.
In the event of inclement weather, activities will be cancelled.
