Planning Your Visit:

We are accepting groups of up to 8 visitors at a time.

We are only accepting one household visiting at a time. Please help us protect our community by limiting your registration to just those you live with. When it is safe for us to host multiple households in the center at a time, we will make that announcement and welcome small groups. For now, we suggest you enjoy your gathering in the fresh air at our beautiful Zuanich Park and enter the aquarium separately.

Appointments must be made in advance of visiting. You will be unable to use our reservation system to schedule same day appointments, as our very limited staff will be busy tending the other visitors with their appointments.

We are not currently allowing walk in groups to visit with us. If you would like to visit, please click this link to access our appointment calendar

Masks are expected to be brought from home and to be worn by all visitors who have reached their second birthday. If your infant under two is visiting, they do not need to wear a mask, but guardians will be expected to wash their hands at entry unless the child stays covered in a stroller or baby carrier for the entire time they visit.

Adequate masks:

  • Fit the face closely. There should be no gaps around the cheeks, nose or chin that allow air to escape
  • Should not have an exhaust port
  • KN95 and N95 mask are the best source of protection for you and others.

Guardians are expected to supervise their minors at all times in the MLC.

We are not currently accepting donations, and there is no admission fee to visit.

If you are interested in scheduling for a school group, please email us at If your large group arrives without notice, it is unlikely we can accommodate you. Please contact us before visiting.

You may see limited appointments available this winter as we manage a few larger projects, but please feel free to reach out via email if you have specific questions about availability!

Thank you in advance for continuing to help us keep everyone safe and healthy as they learn more about our wonderful creatures of the Salish Sea.
