Environmental Compliance Assessment Program (ECAP)

The Port of Bellingham created its Environmental Compliance Assessment Program in 1992. The purpose of the ECAP is to protect Port property by assisting tenants and internal Port divisions with their environmental compliance and best practices. We work with the Real Estate Division to perform site visits with all of our tenants who may have environmental risks.

ECAP also serves as a means of communication and outreach to tenants and the public. The Port is required by its Stormwater permits to perform outreach. As a member of the community, we also think this is the right thing to do.
