Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) Program

The Port of Bellingham, which oversees the Bellingham International Airport (BLI) has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program in accordance with U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, 49 CFR Part 26. The Port of Bellingham is dedicated to the creation of a contracting environment that is welcoming to small businesses, including DBE’s.

Businesses seeking to be federally certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) should contact the Washington State Office of Minority and Women Business Enterprises (OMWBE) for more information.

In compliance with FederalRegulations, 49 CFR Prat 26, the Bellingham International Airport (BLI) ishosting a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) consultation teleconferenceon Wednesday, October 24 at 2:00PM pacific time.  

The purpose of the meeting is toreceive input regarding BLI’s three-year DBE Goal for fiscal years 2018-2020.We invite you to participate in a meeting to discuss the proposed goal, as wellas the availability of potential DBEs for BLI’s federally funded projects, theeffects of discrimination on opportunities for DBEs, and BLI’s  effort toincrease DBE participation.
