SeaFeast is a two-day event on September 22 and 23 which celebrates Whatcom County’s rich marine heritage, thriving working waterfront, commercial fishing and seafood industries, and the culinary bounty of the Pacific Northwest.
Planned events include a salmon-grilling contest, live music, a Coast Guard rescue at sea demonstration, the legendary FisherPoets, a maritime themed art walk, a sea-side beer garden, an oyster shucking competition, plenty of local seafood, harbor boat tours, and much more. Most events are free to the public.
Bellingham SeaFeast kicks off at 5 p.m. on Friday, September 22 with SeaFeed at the Square, a dinner of world-class seafood at Depot Market Square, 1100 Railroad Avenue. Taylor Shellfish Farms, Drayton Harbor Oyster Company and Bornstein Seafoods will be serving fresh Dungeness crab, oysters and salmon at the event. A limited number of $50 tickets are available until noon on September 22 at www.BellinghamSeaFeast.com. Any remaining tickets will sell at the door for $60.
