    Dec. 6-7 All entries on display in person for People's Choice Voting.

  5. RULES:
    1. Bake, construct and decorate a visibly edible house, structure or scene. This structure does not have to be made of gingerbread, but must be visibly edible. (Meaning graham cracker walls, and other creative uses of food are acceptable). Non-edible materials may be used inside to stabilize the structure as long as they are not visible. Non-edible materials that are visible in your entry will affect judging, but may still be displayed. Electricity will not be guaranteed for any gingerbread structure.

    2. BASE (All categories EXCEPT professionals): The structure should be placed on a sturdy decorated base no larger than 18” x 18”. Suggested base material should be either 1/2” plywood or 1” foam board. HEIGHT: Structures must not exceed 4 feet in height or extend over the base in any one direction. Professional category: The structure should be placed on a sturdy decorated base no larger than 48” x 48”. Suggested base materials are 1/2” plywood or 1” foam board. HEIGHT: Structures must not exceed 4 feet in height or extend over the base in any one direction.

    3. Contest is open to the general public and is FREE to enter, participants are not limited to a single entry.

    4. ENTRY FORMS must be RECEIVED by 5pm Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025. (online forms and paper forms)

    5. All ENTRIES must be DELIVERED on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal (BCT), 355 Harris Avenue. On-site creation of entries (other than minor repairs and set up) is not permitted. Delicate entries may be transported in two pieces and assembled on site. (Please make assembly brief since the area can get crowded during peak delivery times.)

    6. Entries will be on display in the Bellingham Cruise Terminal Dec. 6 – Dec.7, 2025. Entries must be picked up by Monday, Dec. 8, 2025, between 9am-4:30pm or they will be discarded or donated.

    7. All participants agree that a photo or likeness of their entry may be used for promotion, publicity or advertising without compensation.

    8. The Port of Bellingham and sponsors of the Holiday Port Festival are not responsible for theft, damage, acts of nature or destruction of entries, and the Port of Bellingham reserves the right to refuse any entries that are deemed inappropriate for display at the Holiday Port Festival. Inappropriate entries may include, but are not limited to, personal attacks, vulgar language, and obscene images.

    9. The 2025 theme is "Holiday Bloopers” Any size group, of any age, may enter the themed category.
